Strikemaster Blade Mounting
« on: Jan 16, 2004, 11:46 AM »
Having a discussion here at work as to the correct location on the blade. Does it mount on top of the auger bit or underneath it? I'm wondering if I moved it before trying to take less of a bite to correct for the grabbing at the bottom of the hole, now no one is sure as to the correct location. Thanks in advance.

Blade sits flat side up on the ice, then auger, then bolt heads. I'm not at home but I believe that's the way.

Sorry I have the Laser Mag Express. My blades mount on the bottom. Actually doesn't seem possible to mount them on the top on mine.

Thanks Guys. Knew I could count on you.  ;D Rebuilt the carb this AM, replaced the broken O-ring that goes between the tank and the carb, (this was probably my hard start cold problem, no seal for the choke to work with) working on cleaning up the auger and waxing it. My hand is back to almost good enough shape, hope to get out and drill some holes tmrw afternoon and Sunday. Thanks again.  :) :) :)

LOL.. somethings are never easy... Bottom sounded right, but then I checked the images that Webguy so kindly posted, the Strikemaster site shows it mounted on top of the auger. I gotta figure the manufacturer knows what they're talking about. Thank again to all that replied.
