Jiffy 2HP Legend Carb Trouble
« on: Jan 29, 2007, 04:52 PM »
I just installed a new carb kit on my auger and it doesn’t want to run. When I first started it after installing the kit the auger was flooding itself out. I finally got it started with the choke off and by taking the breather off, but it was running as if the choke was stuck on. After several attempts to get it to run I pulled it apart again and reseated that little aluminum “puck.”  - which I should note it was very hard to get the old one out and I had to drill a little hole in it to pry it out of its “seat”  After reassembling the carb it seemed to run a little better at first but then it started to bog down again it also doesn’t want to idle. I’m not sure if I am just blind or what but I cann’t find any adjusting screws on the carb for the idle at all. Also how tight or loose is that little aluminum puck suppose to fit in its seat, there seams to be a bit of a ridge at the top of the hole and you have to kind of pop it into place.  If you got any suggestions let 'em rip.

Thanks
Jeremy
