I bought new replacement blades this year for a 7in. auger from Strikemaster and after the first use, a threw a blade. Because I hadn't drilled all the way through the ice, I managed to recover the blade and both hex screws. When I reattached the blade, I noticed that the two hex screws were too short...but I used the auger again. During the second use, I threw the same blade again, this time losing both hex screws, but I recovered the blade.
I emailed the company about purchasing replacement screws. Within 12 hours of my email, I had a response informing me that they were sending me new screws. I know the margin on screws are low, but I appreciated the fact that they stood by their product and willingly provided new screws at their expense (shipping and product). Especially due to the fact that I actually asked to purchase them, they could have charged me and I would have paid. Great company...great response time...great to deal with!!
