Chipper vs cutting style
« on: Dec 04, 2004, 05:53 PM »
I was at the MN Ice Fishing Expo yesterday and looked over the selection of augers there. I'm not going to get into the whole Jiffy vs. Strikemaster dilema, but I'd like to know if people like the chipper blade which seems to last longer and stay sharper or the cutting blade that cuts faster but can ice up. How important is speed? And how important is changing blades less often?
