Don't laugh please! I just had some awesome King Crab legs for the superbowl, and saved the remains. I want to put them in the blender and see what happens. It's worth a shot. I have used the cheap method with oatmeal. It works some times. Good luck!

I use "fishy" cat food, oil packed sardines, and chopped, store bought smelt.
Either of them work quite well. (I eat most of the can of sardines with crackers for lunch first)
Take the stuff out of the cans and put it in a cleaned peanut butter jar poked full of holes (use a hot nail).
Drop that down a 3rd hole with a line attached. Just have to "stir" it up once in a while.

You can make a real "honey" hole this way, too.

see ya on the ice

The Hollywood diet would do the trick!  ;D

I use cooked rice for chumming...  Make around 3 cups rice and set aside.  I'll use whatever fish scraps I can find that are oily or attractive to the fish.  Sardines in water, herring, canned tuna or pink salmon, squid, mackerel, etc...  Blend them into a sauce with a little water and then add it to your rice mixture.  As the rice sits, it will pick up the juices and help disperse them within the water column.  You can add a little fish scent while your at it like smelly jelly liquid or pro cure scent.  Great stuff that will attract and hold the fish! ;)

For the last week or so iv been using a mixture of rice, ramen noodles, plain sardines and pearl barley. Seemed to be working quite well. Whitefishslayer has a great chum that i havnt seen fail yet, not sure all of whats in it but does it ever smell, i think it might be posted somewhere in teh whitefish board
Theres only 3 seasons..open water, hunting and icefishing!
