Beautiful crappie. I caught one similar to. That last year. I was gonna have it checked till I learned the state record here in NY. Needless to say, it was delicious

Nice one, hope it makes it! I caught two in two minutes a couple of years ago on Jan.1st..photos posted in my journal page > finatics adventures on the hardwater I believe it's on the second page of journal right now..nothing new posted for awhile ..still waiting for safe ice here in N E Pa.

where did it come from? I belive the recod is about 2 1/2 pd and 16 1/2 in. we weighed one last year at Keyhole that just missed the record.

Ok everyone since George spilled the beans. I caught the fish Monday morning fishing at boysen. I weighed the fish on a certified scale today it's vey close to two and a half pounds and measures right at 15 1/4 in. Im going to the game and fish tomorrow to get it verified! Thanks for all the compliments everyone!

Hey great fish let us know what it comes in at officially. Im very new to the area but living in Riverton and plan to fish boysen regularly. Ive got a vexilar and would like to chase them crappie and perch. Should I start upper or lower lake 6 to 10'? im a ft peck veteran but the little time i've spent on boysen makes me feel like a rookie. Thanks for your help everyong happy new year

OK everyone, i just got home a bit ago from the Casper Game and Fish office. I was greeted by Mr. Al Conder fisheries biologist for WGF. He verified that my fish was indeed the new state record Black Crappie. The form was filled out as follows length 15 3/8 in. girth 13 1/2 in. and weight of 2 lbs. 7.4 ounces! He then took several photos of me and the fish, and said to expect a call in the next few days for an interview for a news article! Needless to say I am extremely excited, thanks everyone for the compliments on my fish. What a way to end a great year of fishing, and begin another one
