we fished tough creek last wens-thurs-fri.I know why they call it toughcreek now.we started way out in 60 to70 fow, fished bottom,surfice,middle-just about all of it wens-to thurs morn.not one flag, didnt even mark a fish.thursday morn we moved into the bay on the north side and fished 10 to 40 fow.again we fished all columns of water and ended up with 2 real nice trout from surface and nothing off bottom.we had a great time all in all,the weather was fantastic and the ice was 30" plus.

Moosejuice is not the only one lookin for info about the gator!
I think I will have one next year, which model do you have?
Which auger do you use?
Will the power head fit onto a Mora 8"?

Our old auger was a mora 8" dad says it will go on there. The company has adaptors for different auger shafts I think. The problem with the mora though is the gator is not made for chipper blades, they still work but not as well as hand-auger styles.

Ice good JG, fishing...not so much. I was there a few days ago and guys told me they had been all over the lake and the few perch they were catching had gorged themselves on "red worms or larvae" and were not very interested in anything dropped in front of their noses and these guys had underwater cameras and flashers. Don :-\

Thanks LT. I was hoping to make it over there for one last trip and to maybe catch a few jumbos. Looks like it has been slow over there. My dad, uncle and a friend of theirs were over there last Tuesday and Wednesday they caught 4 jumbos and that was it. Maybe it is time to put the ice fishing stuff away and start getting the boat ready. Thanks for the info.
