Pak Shack 3
« on: Jan 05, 2008, 09:34 PM »
I finally got out with my new Pak Shack 3 today. It was very much like the original Pak Shack, just bigger. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 1 kid, I will try it with 2 adults and 2 kids in the future. Held up well in today's 10 MPH wind, and like the original, someone remained seated at all times. Plenty of leg room. Used a Sportcat heater, smallest catalytic heater that I could find (no smell after the initial burn off in the garage for 4-5 hours)... It worked well, we quickly removed coats, hats, and gloves. I decided last year that the buddy heater is just way too much heat for my shelters and camper. Maybe I like it cooler than some folks do. Relocating was nice (and easy). I almost invested into a nice large flip-over this past Fall at Gander, but I was impressed by how much quicker set-up can be with Pak Shack, plus it's small and light. I really like not being limited to the first set of holes that I drill, unless I'm too busy catching fish. Be safe and tight lines!
