Title: Todays trip
Post by: Jack978 on Feb 27, 2024, 05:47 PM
Fished today and was on 16 inches of mixed ice but was solid.  Very warm and coats became optional.  Fishing was slow but everyone managed at least one fish so not a skunk with about 6 on the ice and all but one released.  Catch was all Pickerel but was still fun and by the time we broke down about an inch of water on top of the ice.  Chances are with the storm forecast for tomorrow this will be one of the last opportunities before the edges get flakey.

Nice day! Those pickerel are a good size also.  Looks colder for Thurs., but then a quick warm up again after that.  Will put a dent in the ice for sure.

Late March conditions in late February.  Weird year for sure.

Big pickerel are still fun to catch!
