Title: Cutbait for trout other than lake trout

I catch a lot of suckers where I fish and it just dawned on me that I should use them for Cutbait. There are no lake trout in the lake I fish but is full of rainbow, cutthroat, and brown trout. Going to give it a try sometime, anybody else ever use sucker bait for large trout other than lake trout?

I tip my spoons with a section of minnow.  Should work for cut up baits as well.

I have caught stocked rainbow on pieces of cutbait while fishing for catfish. Don't guys on the great lakes troll fillets for salmon and trout?
