Title: Ice conditions near Arlington
Post by: spongybt on Jan 07, 2021, 01:24 PM
Buddy and I are planning a trip up next week to the Arlington area. Just looking for ice conditions at Sinai, 81 Ponds or Thompson? We want to bring the sleeper is there truck traffic yet? Thank you in advance

No truck traffic yet anywhere around there. We haven't had any really cold nights lately.

I just drove over the old ham grade on the south side of Thompson a couple days ago and there was still open water in spots.

Nobody fishing on 81 ponds yet because ice isn't thick enough to drive out on so doesn't really leave any where to park or access

A SnoBear went through the ice on Dry #2 Jan 8th. Be careful.

I’ve heard multiple reports last 2 days on multiple bodies water of vehicles, houses and people through the ice.

This weeks forecast doesn’t look like it’s going to help make any good ice

Man that’s terrible! Looks like we’ll stick with the ATV. Thanks for the update.

How has fishing been in the area? Hopefully the bite has picked up since our trip there in mid December.
