Title: Getting ready for open water...

Spent the day getting the boat ready for open water ....changed oil in lower unit change plugs.andall filters...put charger on...greased hubs...and cked  lights on boat and  trailer....should be ready to go....thinking it will be soon....

already started doing some open water fishing here in south central pa. getting the reels are cleaned up and new line on them

its not over not yet havnt heard the fat lady sing , still early going to get cold again and a storm brewing were do.

Just checked weather undergroung its above freezing 9 of the next 10 days and barely below freezing at nite also. The fat lady may not have sung But Id get the boat ready nonetheless.

over down here. no ice to be found. yellow perch moving into spawning grounds. got into them from shore today

Caught some nice gills yesterday. Open water berks co. Hardly worth driving to tusk or chunk to  Stand on sketchy ice & catch nada

 Been walleye hunting the past 2 weeks or so..... got bit-off by a musky or two(haven't seen them since), hooked up with some cats and a few suckers. Finally got a walleye yesterday.... Sadly he was hooked in the tail so had to let him go.

Taking the boat out tomorrow. Gonna try to slay some perch & gills.
