CNY forcast for the next week.

Tom Hauf's Syracuse Area Forecast for Wednesday January 10

Lake snows....7 - 14+ inches

Lake snows will set up across the region tonight and linger through much of Wednesday.  The heaviest snows will target northern Onondaga and southern Oswego counties.  Storm totals will range from 7 - 14+ inches.


Conditions will settle for Wednesday night through Friday before unsettled weather returns for the weekend.


Freezing rain is likely for Saturday with a rain to snow scenario on tap for Sunday.  It will be windy and sharply colder for the beginning of the workweek with hefty lake snows likely.

Tonight: Lake snow...4 - 8"+  Low: 24

Wed: Breezy...more lake snow...3 - 6"+    24/16

Thu: Variable cloudiness - 34/24

Fri: Partly sunny and windy - 39/32

Sat: Freezing rain - 35/31

Sun: Windy with rain changing to snow - 41/32

Mon: Windy with lake snow...colder - 34/16

Tue: Windy and cold with more lake snow - 25/11    Hauf

The report looks much more promising for northern NY....check out the forecast for northern adks and st. law. valley :)  Won't be too long......for those wanting to make a trip......

Maybe if we get enough snow on the ground it will keep the temps down.this snow will cool the water back down after all the rain we have gotten warmed it back up.BRING ON THE ICE we need to put some fish in the tourney :bow: :thumbsup: :bow: :thumbsup:

The steam was rising on Hatch Lake this morning on my way in. We will be on the ice here by the 20th

I know there's a little rain in there, but this forcast is looking pretty good if i will just keep it up. I know I can go north, but I really enjoy hitting some local stuff to. I mostly go north because I love the "views" up north anyway, just for the "views".
