Upper Chateauguay ice

Anyone know what the ice is like at upper Chateuguay lake these days. Probably going to be in the area next week, was planning to get some ice fishing done there at the same time.

Tried calling Martin's bait for some info, apparently the old man passed away last year and they are no longer in business.

I fished lower on Saturday, 9" of ice, there is a bait shop just across the narrows from 374 and he said the ice was not the best on upper that's why we fished lower.

OK, thank for info. Is that the same bait shop with a new owner, or different place?

It was the first time i've ever been up there not sure, 35 Gadway rd, Lyon Mountain NY has bait, tackle & guns

I was there on 12/27 and 12/28. We were on upper and there was 6-9 inches of ice depending on how far out we were.

Didn't make it down there, plans were changed. Maybe early to mid February...
