Where is the part that covers cases involving repercussions when the claim of domestic violence is proven to be false?
I understand the unfortunate need for this bill, but all it seems to address is the person accused of the violence, and not the recourse for false accusations, except for the accused having to petition and prove they are innocent or "worthy" of removing the court order.
So what it boils down to is that anyone can file a complaint and get a restraining order as long as they have a good story and "friends" who will back them up. Kind of like divorce court where the ex-wife will bring the ex husband to court whenever she feels she needs more money, and as long as her attorney can BS the judge, she can get it.
