Here it comes.... hopefully by the end of the week...if not next for sure.

I'm on vacation 27th to Feb 3. Hope it's a good week to be off. I would hate to be productive and get stuff done around the house

It's still productive of you to bring home fish for the family.

I'll try that one with my wife >:D

Every time my wife gets on me about buying gear I tell her... its better than grocery coupons. ..you get to use the gear over and over

I took a drive around whitley county last night. Everything i saw was locked up. I dont know how thick as i didnt take my spud bar. I suspect it had just skimmed over in the last day or so. I was encouraged as some of the lakes typically ice over later or spots that struggle to ice in were all covered in ice. It wont be long now.

Just created an account after lurking a few years. Figured if I could help share some ice reports and keep people safe it's worth signing up. I have a one acre pond and neighbor has a ten acre pond northwest of fort wayne in whitley county.
So on to the reply for this post. :)
The way the ice locked up on both our ponds in the recent ice over was VERY uneven. Lakes may be different but please check every step as you go out. I am personally waiting for the cold snap next week to occur. The snow and sunny days only added to the uneveness.
Wish every one a safe and successful season!

Copy that... I'd say by the middle of next week I'll be out in full gear...
