CATCHING BIG BASS AND PICKERAL

I am just wondering do bass look up for the bait or down? and what about the pickeral? I check the deapth sometimes and weeds come back up with the weight.....i then wonder if i should set it about the weeds or close to it?

They usually look up. That is why I set my tipu-s 1-4 feet below the ice over weed beds.

that what i do i guess i go by "cranks off the bottom" usually about 10-8

we set ours one foot off bottom with a split shot to keep them there, Our largest bass come from deeper water 8 to 15 feet deep.Move to shallower, south side edges at this time of year.
