Hot day on the lake.

Both Temp and Fishing! ;D. A bunch of us went to SP and found calm, sun ,warmth, and willing participants. Didn't need huts or gloves or much of anything.

Me and Crazy Tom landed 20, biggest 22.25".  Others joined in and also did some catching. Hopeully they will post some more pics.

As usual another solid post.  I especially like the "Shillelagh" in the last pic.  Were they fightin' back today Slayer? That looks like Muskie or Big Pike Gear.  Great job...envious...hoping to hit SP this weekend with the rest of Denver.  Keep those posts coming for us "working folk".

that still a good day,, we left early on Tuesday,,be back tomorrow fish overnight hunt for big mama 😁😁😁

This was the 1st fish of the day, figured people would be bored with a bunch of 18-20in. trout pictures  ;D

I did get bit off twice by pike, one was like a 22incher right at the hole, the other gone as I set the hook  >:(

Was absolutely the best day of weather I have ever had at this lake, it was incredible!

Oh, and we did see a perch caught. Heard they were there, 1st, I've ever seen.

The season is upon us, enjoy  @)

As much as I'd rather be boating in 80F, First Ice is Alllright!

Shouldn't you release the big one?  Caucasian supposed to release the big ones; you are more like a yellow Caucasian lol.

I usually don't released big fish either.  Only 2 times when I released them were when I caught a 35 in Lake Trout because it was too big.  The other time when I released a big fish was a 10+ lbs walleye because it was illegal to keep a walleye that big at that lake.  I felt part of me was lost when watching that big walleye swam away lol.  All legal sized walleyes caught in or out of state were released first in my cooler then got a massage in a hot oil bath after that.
