Good Ice at Eel Bay, by welsely Island

Good Ice at EEL Bay. Good perch fishing and the pike are slamming the jigging rods, so hold on tight to that little perch rod and try not to loose it. Thanks,

I'm glad you had better luck than I did last time I was there

The Ice is a good 7-8 " and wheelers are out. The perch are biting like they haven't eaten in years. The best in a long time there. Good to use a decoy for the perch. When you come onto the ice at the welesley Island park ranp, on the right side about 50 yards out, there is a place where the ice broke through a few weeks ago, I believe that someone tried to drive on the ice too early. The whole lake is shallow. People are flocking to the ice in droves. Good time to be had by all.
