yes i fish at hunts,mostly at night. i catch crappies,perch,pickerels.
havent been there yet this year,no time.
hoping to go soon,can be alot of fun.

Which Hunt's Pond are you talking about. There are a few I know of. You have to narrow the search down a little.

i am seeing 10 times the amount of guys fishing hunts as I have in the past. a small pond like that isn't going to hold up long under such brutal pressure...

You get the kids on here, which is a great thing, but they just don't understand the repercussions of naming small waters. They don't understand how it works, and everyone learns, and unfortunately sometimes we learn the hard way.

some guys never learn......I've seen the same guy on here (won't mention his name) who has pulled the same kind of stunt 3 years in a row....with 3 different bodies of water. I don't care because I don't fish those spots, but I'm sure there are others who used to fish them before a million people flocked to them.

I agree with all the people who mentioned overfishing small ponds. As it is I catch very few legal crappie out of hunts pond. On a night where the fish are really hitting, you might a few legal. The average size is down to about 7-8 inches. About 7 years ago I first started fishing Hunts for Crappie you would catch a lot more in a shorter time with some nice sized keepers. Each year, and even from the start of the season to now, it has got worse and worse. The same people fish the pond every day and night keeping everything legal. The pond just can't take that kind of pressure. Even the number of bluegil have reduced, if that seems possible.
