« on: Jan 25, 2010, 12:58 AM »
this chuckie i know from sledding tried telling me that theres a lake by cazenovia called tuscarora lake, and its stocked with actual muskie. not tigers, but muskie, among other species. can anyone put any truth to this? it cant be that big if a lake if ive never heard of it, i know ontario and and the mohawk river have actual muskie but this is news to me.

That lake I believe also goes by the name of Erieville Reservoir
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

I live on the lake, been on the lake board for 10 years. We only stock walleyes and a few largemouth bass each year. There are no muskies, tiger or otherwise. They hold an ice derby each year in February to raise money for the stocking. I will get the info and forward it to the moderators to see if it is one we can post on here.

Eaton Brook has been known to give up some of those elusive "Muskies"
I saw a guy catch one last year. I think he goes by Scout 75 ;D

There are no purebreed Muskies in Madison County. Oneida Lake, may hold some Purebreeds...other than that, they are Tigers!

Take care and be safe!!!
