Lake George is the weirdest lake. It tightens up from the south to the north. The best ice is always to the south. You would think that it colder up north and would freeze first but it’s the opposite. Early ice is better to the south. MDB, Harris Bay, Huddle

Anybody fishing huletts landing yet?

Saw a report yesterday on facebook where i guy said he was out off Huletts Landing. Said he had 4-6" of ice. No idea how far or where he went out from though. Live cam showing that part of the lake has had it locked up from one side to the other for over 3 days now

353 pages on this thread alone. I highly doubt any 1 comment out of 10,500 replies was the reason lake George gets heavily fished..

I agree.  Fish like that are available in a lot of areas of the lake.  I also don't think for a second allen would burn his own spots.

When there is safe ice that spot is parking lot is full every weekend.  Thats why I do most of my fishing during the week days.  And huletts is a pretty vague term.  Yes it's an access but its access to alot of water that's not "Huletts"

Is anyone getting on the ice in the Bolton landing area? If so how deep are you getting out to?

Went out of Vets park this morning. 6 inches out to about 300 yds., then when you hit the ice that broke up and refroze it dropped down to 1 1/2-2 inches. Open water out past the tip of green island. Perch bite til about 9, then they shut off.

My brother and I fished off Veterans Park this morning.  The bite was very slow.  However, all the fish we did catch were good size.  Ice was 7" where we were but less as you got closer to open water.  There were guys out there though.  As it got warmer you could see the ice reacting to the rise in temperature.  We need more sub 32 weather.

Ice situation is solid off the beach and heading north of there

5 inches this weekend

south of the beach there's a big pressure crack that opened up that is cutting off a lot of area sadly

a lot of fish are being saved by that stupid pressure crack
I'm not saying they're biting on Brant.  But they probably are
