Looks promising on the cams, however I didn’t spot anyone out there.
Where’d you see people out?

He's saying he will see everyone out on the ice not that you can see people out there.
Goin' where the wind don't blow so strange,
Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.

Did not but that’s the one I am looking for on a report as well. Didn’t have time to go that far.

Mostly open water from Diamond Island north on the main lake, some ice near shore.

Drove along west shoreline from Village on my way up to Hague.  Lots of skim ice and open water areas.  Not ready yet. Sabbath Day point area iced over but mostly open north of Silver Bay and can still launch boat in Hague.  Hopefully it does not get too windy in next few days.  Wind will take its toll on ice very quickly.

That's a great video - what a shame it didn't get down to zero last night again.

Doesn't have to be below zero to make ice!

A couple guys off of MDB this morning with reports of 3-4 inches with the occasional 1 inch spot. Too dicey for me still but if you head out make sure you spud every step.

It's getting close!

I was just up there guys. Checked veterans, huddle, hearthstone... that entire side of the lake. Around 12pm the wind was howling. Any fresh, think clear ice that was made last night is gone. Veterans and huddle were taking a beating with the wind, and note it was 33* at 12. All the fresh ice was chunked up and the wind was then chunking up the thicker ice edge made from the other night. Not good.

Tyler- you must have taken that video this morning before the wind started. Majority of the area in your video currently is open water.

Ugh-thanks for the report.

You were correct. There was one guy on huddle when I stopped by... but I will tell you that he was barely off shore. Any productive spot I have ever fished in huddle I would be swimming right now.

Ah I see-I was kind of thinking that myself.  I see what you mean, definitely not worth it if you can’t get to a semi-productive area at least.
How far out was there ice? Was it as far as Sweetbriar island at least?
