Cool story about the deer. Rescued a mourning dove frozen to the ice a few years ago. Never saw a deer frozen to the ice though.

Can't fish today have to work. Fished yesterday 9 to noon. Same holes I fished tues. Lakers were aggressive landed 6 playing keep away with plastics,lost 2 or 3 also.

Just checked Ft Ann beach, few brave souls fishing within a 100 yds of open water.... looked open towards Dome.   Supposed to be windy tomorrow which may rip more of it open.

Funny...I chipped a mourning dove out of the ice at Vets 2 weeks ago.  Probably wasn't going to make it, he mangled his leg so bad struggling for so long but it felt good giving him some kinda chance.  The fishing God's rewarded me that day.

I learned quite a bit fishing yesterday.
I learned 1 ratchet strap won't hold my shanty on top of the 4 wheeler in the back of the truck if I get on the northway.
I also learned how to get new gear without the woman getting on me too much. Out with the Eskimo flip... In with the Shappell Bayrunner. Despite the $$$ I had to spend. I'm glad no one got hurt hitting the shack at 70.

I started the day slightly cursed with chasing fish that wouldn't bite. I got bored and started blasting the bottom 5 times with my jig before making my ascent. Every single fish of the 9 I landed yesterday came like this. 2 fish caught me by surprise and struck when I was stirring mud. I caught 7 on proper gear and switched to perch mode. Jon took me to school while I stuck 2 more trout on the light gear. Even the 2 trout that hit tungsten hit immediately after I hit the bottom 5 times. I've tried all of this before. It just never worked as slick as it did yesterday.

Jamey, no e job figuring out the laker bite. That really sux about ur gear. Hope u were able to save some of ur gear. Those bay runners are sweet, my buddy has 1 loves it.


Dshoo, think I posted a pic on here someplace of the dove.it was also pretty tore up from being frozen to the ice. We were not rewarded by the fish gods that day.


Tmrw I will be brining the boy out to chase Lakers,kid is addicted now hes been bothering me all week to skip school to chase lakers.

Vtech is kids learning toy company.  VTEC is variable timing electronic control and I know all about it.  Lowaccord was indeed a slammed 2003 acford coupe which I beat the snot out of and gave to my brother.
