Had a good day out of Harris. Ventured out to wat was the "new ice" there's 3" of ice there. Lots of people out today. Ideal walking conditions

There were guys with wheelers on harris. I drilled 7-8" of ice but moved 15 yards and had 5". Heard there was 3" way out. Good bite early but it got tough.

Whaaaaaat. All bot a shot ice fishing season on the king and already two fantastic salmon. I planned on seeing if I could get over laker waters tomorrow but have a temp of 105 soon well see how tomorrow goes and try for sunday.

for some  but it took a while for me to find them.They were still hot when I left, at about dark.

I heard he caught it with his bare hands near a bubbler on his way off the ice.  Like a grizzly.  Wasn't even fishin just checking the ice.   

Didn't even get his coat sleeves wet....

That salmon is huge! Got 22 perch today out of vets, bite was tough on and off all day wheeler was out there this morning

That's a hell of a salmon.  I'd trade all the lakers for a shot at that one!  Congrats to the guy who caught it. Funny how word gets out even when you're still on the ice!

and just a request/word of advice... don't bring a wheeler to vets this weekend.  The usual access is shot because of the bubbler run by the idiot in the house.  The access by the beach area isn't looking good already and it only got to 32 degrees today.  Tomorrow's going to be 47, if a wheeler breaks that access it means everyone on the lake gets wet coming off the ice.

Had smelt come through about 4 times today at vets, caught one it was about 7 inches long they came thru 18 feet thick it was sick wish ya could eat em

It was caught on a tip up we were fishing right next to him. It was early and he had to have played it for a few minutes figured he had a big laker . Stopped to see how he had done as we left and I was shocked when I realized it was a salmon. As billy fucillo would say it was HUGE!!

Tony , I have pics of Jeffs Salmon, 35" and 15lbs 4oz. No idea how to put pics up here though

wow what a brute of a salmon. glad to see the pic was posted love looking at these brutes. had a fisherman tell me when he fishes down there in his kayak has had these salmon break him off many times. congratulations on a great fish.
