I went out of the nw bay today  and got 1 24 "incher.  Had tons of chasers  . And a few on . Was having trouble with my line so switched to my perch set up .  My buddy got 4. Almost got stranded battery died on the quad 1.5 miles out.  Thanks to the guy that hooked us up. I had walked in to get help when he came by and jumped us

The folks out on the ice are respectful in most part to offer help when they see someone in need of assistance. A few weeks ago, when out of Hearthstone, my brother had a heart attack and guys that I had just met minutes before gave everything they had to come thru with all the help that we could ever need. Yeah I was just worried cause everyone was gone that had quads . 2 guys left . Tried to walk to one of them but he moved about a mile when I got close to him . Walked back to the parking lot to get the jumper cables no one around . To jump us .Thank god somebody drove by and helped us out.

If his wheeler is anything like my Honda, the newer machines don't have a secondary strating system. If the battery dies you are SOL without jumper cables and another machine.Don't know why they would stop making machines with pull starts. ???

Yeah its a 2012 king quad . No pull rope  ??? I had a 1998 king quad and  it had both electric  and pull start.

O yeah the conditions . Every thing melted and re- froze  making it very slippery and bumpy . No snow at all . And tons of ice .

I have a 2009 king quad 500.3yrs ago I had the misfortune of breaking down out on the ice.luckily for me my buddy was a mile north of me and he had cables.ever since then I keep a battery jump pack with me at all times.A wise investment especially with some of the newer quads not having a pull start.
