slow morning again on lungs. two bites but no fish on the ice. Fishing in 16 FOW. Going out tomorrow to move the shack a bit and try again. Hopefully luck will change as we will have two young newbies, so a little action would be nice! I Heard of only a few walleye being caught towards dark yesterday.

Any word if there is a truck trail onto north end of LL or if people are driving across st. Briuex into the north end of LL? Planning on moving my shack up there and if I should bring a sled to get out there? Hope to get into some better action than what I have been hearing about near lungs and small lake.

Dad has his shack at Lungs and was wondering what access is like
after the snow we got.
Still slow bite?
How is St. Brieux doing for fish activity?
Thanks

(hadn't ever seen a road in the winter from St. B. through to North part of Lake lenore.
Would be curious to know this as well... might move his shack too)

Not sure about lungs but you can get on the little lake lenore and drive around if you have to I fished the small lake this morning in about 25 feet North of all the shacks and East. caught three Walleye one was near 5 lbs. Not sure where to try next anyone been to St Brieux lately?
Thanks again to nicemustang for making such a nice access road and keeping it open no problem at all getting on and driveing around.
Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.

Went out to St Brieux today from 10-5 and never seen a fish on the camera or flasher.  There was a TON of water beetles swimming around, not sure whats up with that as we didn't see any last time we were out. Maybe the fish got their fill on the beetles?

We fished out at the edge of the shanty village closer to the middle of the lake and went mobile for a bit with no luck outside the shack either.  A few guys we talked to in the morning said they had caught a few walleye and had a few get away at the hole.  Nobody else we talked to had any luck at all and it seemed like most people were trying out away from their shacks too so i assume there luck wasnt good either.  Access to the lake was good and getting around on the lake was alright if you stayed to the well traveled paths and watched out for deeper drifts.  A lot of people were driving around off the path too and seemed to be doing alright.  Definitely needed the extension for the auger.

On the plus side it was a beautiful day to be out.

Good luck everyone

I second this. Huge thanks Nicemustang, for keeping the lakes easily accesible.

Fished Big Lake Wed. before the deep freeze, high winds but  was only-16C. Glad I went, take an extension if going I had to put one on or I would of been going home. Landed and released 4 eyes, 4 Northerns, saw perch on Cam but no takers.

was out today and it was slow, walleyes are all over the depth range caught them from 25 ft at lungs to 10 ft in the little lake, bite was very slow though, managed to get our limits but had to work for them and they were all males, pike also had no eggs or very little in them which I found unusual for march

Fished Lungs today from 2:00-6:00. We caught 7 pike, 4 walleye and 3 jumbos. Was good from 2-4:00 then died off.

whitetail,

were you just right out infront of lungs or did you drive further onto the lake somewhere?

Just a friendly note here fellas. If the field is muddy please don't drive in it! Or if the forecast for warm and you have to come off when it's muddy, just walk on. I was nice enough to keep open all year, lets not rut up my field and cause me extra work and fuel. thanks in advance, a sign will be going up.
