Thanks alot. How's the fishing in that lake? I like to try alot of different lakes during the hardwater season. I will be targeting pike on tip-ups and jigging for perch..

Deeper than it looks. We drilled a ton of holes from the lake side all around towards the point and they were all 25-30'+. The maps I saw were all way off.

On the DEC map it looks like there is some deeper holes and drop offs to the bottom just off the island toward the middle part of the lake. Any luck in that area?

We didn't fish it, it all looked flat. There was a perm shanty on the island and they were set up all around it. We ended up towards the point across from the island, still in 30' of water, didn't do much.

Hey, I appreciate the advice.  I will try that bay up on the left off the launch and if no luck there venture up towards the island drilling holes along the way. Going up Sunday morning, early. Thanks again

Fish around the island on the east side there is a small shelf that drops into 25+ ft. I have caught Pike, Tigers and a Walleye but that was 20 yrs ago.

havent heard of any tigers out of there in quite a few years. if your going for pike head to the northernmost part of the lake, just outside of the swamp. unfortunately, its about as far from the boat launch as you can get. the deepest part of the lake is 36 feet in the summer, probably around 33 right now, right around the island. take route 8&9 until they split, take the right(staying on 9) the road gets real close to the lake in about 3/4 mile, good access there as long as you are on foot.

If you drive towards the far end , northern end towards the swamp. I would set up your tip up's about 150 yards out from the opening towards the middle of the lake. Between the mouth of the swamp and the 150 yards out . its all tall weed cabbage. towards the corner is away from the road is good for bass and walley. Setting up in front of mouth of swamp is good for pike. . Is you go directly out from swamp mouth and go up center lake 150 yards or so ,there is a drop there where it goes to sround 15-18 ft. That is where it will be good for jigging perch. on the drop. Where you park is , along route 9 ,nothern end , and there will be a bunch of light green cottages there. Park right off the road and walk down to water.Hope this works for you.

Thanks for the help guys. These were the keepers! We fished the North end near the drop off on the north end. We fished from 9am to 1pm. Released a bunch of smaller perch and pickerel, too small.

;D That spot is real good. Perch action was pretty much non-stop. Threw back the dinks and kept most of the Hogs. First Flag of the day was the northern 26" in about 13 FOW on the drop. Thanks again for the info, definitely will be back up there soon.
