Hey all... It's been awhile!
I've had a busy fall waterfowling and its been great! Driving along the bay this morning seeing some ice in the coves got me all fired up. I picked up another trap a few weeks ago and started doing some mods to it this afternoon to help tide me over for a bit. Lots of fish are being caught and I'm looking forward to another great hardwater season chasing the eyes around. We were out treading lightly on early ice last year in early December, and hopefully that will happen again.
I'm off for a road trip layout boat duck hunt next weekend and then everything can freeze tight after that!
If anyone needs an update on Bay of Quinte Ice conditions, feel free to pm me anytime.
Jeff
