best time for bay of quinte

I live in New York and want to make a trip up there for those monster eye's does anyone have suggestions on the best time of the season to do so?

like most walleye lakes, early and late ice is prime on Quinte..the issue you will have is how unpredicatble the early ice saftey can be, due to heavey currents in most walleye hot spots, it takes longer for th ice to form. If you look at our Team Ontario G2G from last season it was a feb meeting and there had not been safe ice much prior to that date...Are you going with a guide or solo?

We've always had really good luck mid to late feb.  If you'd like some info on some local guides I can pass the infomation on to you.

Maybe our northern friends will be hosting a G2G on Quinte this winter.  I'm sure all that are interested would be welcome.
Big savings on guide service and, most likely, way more knowledge of the local fishing techniques.
