Haven't had much luck at Greenwood during the winter either...  Last time I was there (over the summer) we were slaying the perch.  I may give it another try once we get some ice.

Guy and Pete closed Monksville Sports Shop about 4-5 years ago. As far as ice fishing Monksville it's like anyplace else ... one day is good and the next not so good. I've caught musky, walleye, perch, crappie, etc. and you have to put in your time.  :)

I live smack in the middle of both greenwood and skunksville....there is just a smidge of ice starting to form around the edges.  Hopefully this weeks cold temps will help.  Hunter is correct, Greenwood was drawn down in October but the last few weeks of rain helped a bit.  still pretty shallow though.

Greenwood isn't bad, but if the ice is thick there are a lot of snowmobilers and ATV's on the ice.  Monksville like someone else said, is hit or miss.  Usually do well in the early mornings or late afternoons....during the day is just painful.

I have done well on Greenwood in the past. The last time I fished it I had one of my tip-ups run over by a snowmobile though

Fished Greenwood one night with shawn and mark on probably the coldest day ive ever gotten out, I believe it was around -15 with the win and when the sun went down it was bad, and plus we got skunked, i don't even think we had a tip up go off that the wind didn't set off.
