Current ice conditions at Hopatcong?

I have 2 Carbide Tip Screwdrivers with a hole drilled in each handle tied together with a string.  Never had to use them, but I think they would work just as good.  Piece of mind more than anything else probably.

I have a pair of those red handle spikes. They work pretty good.  I laid down on my belly and pulled myself across the ice with them.  Figured I would see how they work before I actually needed them.

Good idea trying them punkinhead.  I think I may give it a shot next time out.  I bought two cheap screwdrivers and took them to the grinder.  I drilled holes for a piece of clothesline and I' think I'm good to go.  Hope I never have to use them.
