Highland Lake, NJ
« on: Jan 15, 2009, 01:37 PM »
I was heading up to a friends house in NJ and he lives on Highland Lake. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a contour map of the lake or is willing to share theirs with me. I tried to do a google search for it but I still can't find one.  Thanks for your help  Tight Lines--

Hammer, make sure your friend gets you a guest badge, or he`s with you. Rules are enforced by security, its a private lake & they will prosecute for trespassing.

If you can't find a map what about that google earth thing or w/e it is, that might be able to help you a little if nothing else?

I live in HL.  Gonna be really hard to find a contour map. They might have them at the clubhouse if you stop in.  You should be able to set up anywhere and catch tiny perch though.  The lake is infested.  HaHa.  There is some good fishing if you can find a lucky spot with weeds. Most of the weeds have been killed by the lake association though.  Its too bad.  Anyway, bring a guest badge or you may have issues with security! They can be strict.

Hey steelchaser....you were right! I just got back in.......my buddie had to leave early.  Caught about 10 dink perch. Holes were freezin over in less than 2 min.  There was 5+" of ice everywhere we drilled....whole lake is frozen up.  Tight lines

lol...maybe but not where I was.  I've fished it before and caught plenty of perch....but even they didnt seem to bite.  Only saw 2 other guys out....both had shelters (blue and black). I watched them move at least 6 times....so I assume they weren't catching anything either
