Same as a few... Forgot everything to get into "IceShanty"... BUT? I am back.
Kalispell... Been ice fishin for about 10 years... Hit and Miss kind of fishin.
Got all the gear, just need to know where to go. Went out looking today and saw a few shacks out on ice. Any local fisher persons around the Flathead... give me a shout!!!

New to the site. I was surfing the net a few days back looking for any site that might indicate ice conditions in my area and found this site. Reviewed posts for a few days and registered last night.

Am from Waterloo and have been ice fishing the area since 1993. Although my first passion is with the flyrod, ice fishing keeps me outside during the winter months.

Fish primarily Harrison Resavoir, Ruby Resavoir, and Clark Canyon. I had planned on heading to Harrison this morning to check ice conditions and to drill a few holes if safe to do, but the winds cranked up last night and are still going strong this morning. It is one thing to fish in these low temps, but as you know, quite something else to do it with the high winds as well. Will hopefully get out in the next few days if the weather (winds) moderate at all.

I'm here but I'm not...I'm in Massachusetts for the winter I will check the montana board to see how you guys are doing! This state is small as a montana county but 1000 times bigger than Montana simulteaeously. Lots to ice fish...I think Cape Cod alone has 365 lakes and ponds so I am busy here trapping smelt, shinners, and suckers for bait. I will be here checking out the Montana site..with any skill at all I hope to post a giant chain pickerel, broodstock atlantic salmon tiger muskie or trophy smallmouth for your enjoyment..first I have to lose the balmy weather!!!

new at this site hope this is where it happens.live in greatfalls,been walking on water for 25 years !going to catch a monster this year i can just feel it found the lake trout in tiber res and cant wait till time comes to walk out!

Manhattan, friend of mine got me started last year, getting serious about ice fishing this year...gotta do something during the winter, skiing costs to much and too many yuppies/guppies/dinks/etc and hunting is over for the most part...
