What are the dimensions, Drift Dodger?
I like it!

Thanks Mainedog. The floor is 4 ft x 6 ft and there is just over 6 ft headroom. I can load it myself into my pickup truck (standard box) and close the tailgate.

Here is my personal sized hardside ... perfect for one fisherman but can fit two if necessary. For larger crowds I utilize my Ice Cube hub and/or another larger hardside.

What's the weight? And how did you insulate the roof considering the "hip" to it?

Not sure what the actual weight is but I can lift one end onto my truck tailgate then lift the other end up and push the whole shack fully into the truck box.

As for the ceiling, the insulation is 3/4 inch styrofoam that is somewhat flexible. It was too cold to apply adhesive during construction outdoors this fall so that is held in place with a length of 1/4 inch plywood which seems to be working nicely so far.

Thanks DD, I'm building myself a house with the exact same dimensions, that started as a canvas covered Ontario style, and I thought about doing the same thing with tin to cover mine. But I was concerned about weight.

The tin definitely makes for a light yet very durable and rigid structure. I'm very happy having gone that route!

It was modeled after a michiana shanty. It was at 5 ft high i added a foot and hate the way it sets up. I'm going back to 5 ft high, I'm short so it's no big deal. I had 2 x 4 runners on the the bottom and took them off to lighten it, it weights well over 200 lbs. It glides good across the ice on just plywood. Didn't get a chance to try my smitty sled on it, maybe next time

Here's my 6x10.  Works great for 2 people,  3 is a crowd and 4 is too many but we've done it.  Building a 6.5x14+V.  Hope to have it ready next season.

Nice shack CaseySD!

How long is the bench?

The bench the kids are sitting on is 30"x72".  It folds up to the wall.  In the top of the picture you can see the bunk on the back wall which is also 30"x72 and also folds up flat to the wall.   Most of the time the bottom one is folded up and we just sit on lawn chairs or pails.
