Title: Moving water, outlet cove.
Post by: jiignut on Dec 24, 2018, 09:43 AM
I know about ice around moving water. So no need to comment about that. So, I have access to a lake with small cove that turns into a four foot deep flat before exiting into creek. In open water days I have seen and caught rainbows, holding in the slight current. I see some weeds wavering under water.  No safe ice yet down there to try it. Would that be a similar situation under the winter ice? Thinking maybe in the cold water a trout wouldn’t want to expend energy with current but on the other hand hovering waiting for food might be more efficient than cruising around.
ANY THOUGHTS? Thanks
