Nowadays you can identify your fish with any one of 72 genders. I don't know the whole list. You have to ask someone from California.

Last week, I fished NY for the first time in a few years. My friend and I hit the jackpot on Champlain, we ended up landing 16 lakers and losing a few more, all in few hours of fishing. Some good sized ones as well

Champlain is an awesome fishery. We did a couple charters last summer to vertical jig lakers and I bet we landed 60 fish both trips. It cost me about $2,200 on top of the charters because I now have a MinnKota Terrova with Spot Lock

Went wading in the Adirondacks for stocked browns today, fishing was of the charts. Over 50 trout landed, with a lot of them in the upper size slot of 12 to 16 inches. Few big fallfish as well.

As seasons for gamefish here start opening this week, likely won't be heading back to fish NY for a while.
