Auger Plate
« on: Dec 08, 2023, 08:07 AM »
Do I need a plate to prevent my Nils auger from going down the hole if it detaches from the clam plate?  Not seeing how that could happen but I notice round blue plates in some utube videos.

Add some Blue LocTite to the screws ..and get into the habit of checking tightness . I keep an allen wrench in my chest zipper pocket.

Good Morning,

The plate attachment would be helpful for those rigging the Nils directly to their drills using the drill chuck. Different set up with the clam plate. You should be fine without it.

Use nyloc nuts on the bolts, like these.
