Some zombie pike out there, that or the bugger swallered my hook and I wanted it back  ;) ::)


No more terminator snaps for me, makes fish with swallowed hooks impossible to release, no way to release the hook from the leader.

Looks like you jugulared him with a shotgun! Man you've had an incredible season so far, thanks for sharing all the pictures, to say I'm jealous would be an extreme understatement. I also understand the amount of work that goes into a season like this and you've really stepped it up. Keep it up!!

You are welcome.  It's been a real treat so far, I just hope I can keep it up.  It's my last winter here so I'm going at it hard.  I hope to be back in 3 years, but it's hard to say.

You gotta upload your pic to photo bucket. Then open that and ice shanty in different windows.  Open a reply in ice shanty. Go to photobucket and open pic. On that page over on right hand side you will see image links. Copy image code. Open you reply and paste image code. Image code should look like a web address with img on each end of it

Took the boys to the mountains today...

This thing just about scared us, as we weren't expecting anything near this big. Sure kept the boys pumped though!





This photo doesn't do this fish any justice.  The colors were vibrant to say the least...


I prefer to release fish like this, but the boys wanted to show it off, so I caved :'(

If my kids caught a fish like that I would be getting it mounted for them for sure! Looks like they had a blast and caught a whopper they will be talking about for a long time to come.

Yeah, it's gonna cost me for sure!  I've got to get a replica made because it froze to the ice when I was taking pics and it ripped the skin pretty bad.  Anyone have any suggestions for a good trout taxidermist?!  I have lots of pics and measurements so a replica shouldn't be too difficult.  I've only got walleye and pike on the wall, and they were skin mounts.  Not sure if that taxi-d does trout, tho.  Feel free to PM me if you have any suggestions.

chucknduck- We were on West Rosebud.  Had the place to ourselves until we left about 1:30.  Wind picked up for awhile, but otherwise a great day to be in the mountains on the ice.  Lots of brookies and 'bows.

The boys say,"Thanks" to all who've expressed their congratulations.  I can only imagine the stories that'll be told in school tomorrow!  Thanx again and Good Fishin' - OH
