hello RI shanty don't look good for us  in the ocean  I fished Meadowbrook 3 times just after Christmas    got trout and salmon each time got a 5lb rainbow on the 28th some tiny perch and a 16 inch sucker but from here on in I guess its road trips for hard water

I feel your pain, I'd be shocked to see any ice up my way. Road trips are definitely on the menu this season. Hoping we cross paths at some point this season  :tipup:

Nice fish Ed.  There's some ice in North central Mass on the smaller ponds. Let's get together next week.

Fished in N. Central mass yesterday. 3-4 inches of ice with 2 inches of slush on top. On the ice at 8 fished until 2. Snow of varying rates throughout the day. Finished with 5 pickerel and 3 bass.

Good to hear, the search pays off. Got my MA license too. I'll likely be making the drive next weekend to North/ Western MA
