Devils lake
« on: Dec 16, 2017, 02:38 PM »
Coming for a dream trip to devile lake between Christmas and New Years, just looking for ice reports. What are chances of driving my truckon the lake by then? Could possibly bring wheeler, but would prefer truck. I have never been there and not sure how much access there is to walk on without walking miles. Any info would be greatly appreciated. We will be staying at woodlands for 5 nights and fishing for 4. Thanks

I don't know about Devils Lake for sure but I do know that here in the Bismarck area we have had high 40's to the mid 50's the last 3 weeks with a few days in the 60's. On November 23th we had a high of 74 deg. Some lakes are open and some are iced over. I drove up to Minot today and Lake Audubon is wide open, even saw a couple of people out in a boat fishing. Forecast for the next 3 week starting Wednesday is our normal lows of below freezing for day time highs.

I would call Woodland Resort for updates on conditions. They usually post something once a week on their website, but calling would give you a more current report.
