Title: rod tip fix?
Post by: icefishnrancher on Jan 06, 2016, 07:38 PM: is there any place or anyone who does repairs on ice rods? broke 3" off the wife's favorite rod the other day-ya it was my fault!! I'd like to get it fixed if possible but maybe that isn't an option.

Just fix it yourself. ;)2

Post by: icefishnrancher on Jan 06, 2016, 07:57 PM: yes i could glue a new tip on but, i need the last 3" replaced-the sensitive part is what "I" broke off. Like sed, might not be possible to restore to original spec.?

Post by: er-e-is on Jan 06, 2016, 08:44 PM: I don't think you will be able to add 3" back to a broken tip. About the only option is to glue a new tip on what's left.

Post by: kb on Jan 12, 2016, 03:59 PM: When I snap a tip off, I just trim the rod down to the next eye. If it is not sensitive enough, then I will put a spring bobber on the end

Post by: fishEH on Jan 23, 2016, 08:59 PM: Mudhole has all kinds of tips. They were the ONLY ones that had a tip small enough for my St Croix ice rod.
