2000W Workzone generator starting to show up on clearance at ALDI again. There is no way to buy online, but most stores probably have these in stock. They are $349 MSRP but Aldi starts clearing them out about now through x-mas. I got one last year and paid $179 for it about mid November. My local Aldi currently has two of them at clearance price of $249.

Here is a link with info.....
https://www.aldi.us/en/about-aldi/warranties-manuals/warranties-detail/sis/si/workzone-inverter-generator/

Obviously not your $1200 Honda....but if you find it for under $200 and you spend a whole weekend on the lake, this set up 50 feet away could make your shanty much more comfortable. With a wheelhouse it would be a no brainer if you don't have a generator yet and aren't ready to drop money for the Honda. Heck you could buy two and keep one as a spare.....

Aldi has a 3 year warranty on it so with a receipt you'd at minimum always get your money back right at the store....

48 pack of the Rapala UV Pinch Lights to charge glow jigs for $11.53.  I have no idea how well these work, just passing along.  Great stocking stuffers for 47 of your closest friends  :P

Have you tested the ability to float with them? I'd be curious how well they stay afloat with all of your gear on. If they are as good as everything else then that's an awesome price!

$348 is all I see.....seems pretty high considering these can be snatched for around $200 at DSG at the end of season....

I believe Your thinking about the standard Sierra non thermal.

Dick's Sporting Goods has their Shimano Sienna reels on clearance. $21.97 for any size. I bought the last 4000 size that was in  my district and they don't have any other sizes in the stores around here. They seem to be available online, though.

Nope, the thermal, I got it for $200 and change +tax couple years ago(I suppose the non-thermal can be got for even less, as long as it is a floor model)......but yes, it is a "deal" right now, as it is the cheapest option on that particular shelter right now.

I stocked up on the Pfluegers last week.......like I said if it was the RE at this price point it would be great deal. Now if there only were some of the nice tiny ones suitable for ice fishing at these prices.....=)

it looked like they downsized the 1000 to almost the 500 size. if you have any rewards bucks, even better. I used my $10 rewards bucks for the 4000 and picked it up for less than $13. did the customer service survey and put it toward the 2 1000's and fishing line. Shimano products are excluded from this coupon, but I chatted with customer service and they are giving me a credit on my card balance.

Here we go:

Gander Outdoors has the Lite-Flite 8" auger for $189.99 with free shipping. $10 savings already and has barely seen the ice by some pro staffers.

https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/lite-flite-lazer-drill-646057.html#q=auger&sz=21&start=56&cgid=fishing%2Fice-fishing%2Faugers-accessories%2Fauger-accessories

My guess is this thing will be able to be grabbed for $169-!79 come Black Friday, as all the retailers have them stacked up to the ceilings (Scheels, Cabelas......the stores that already have ice fishing on display....in fact Scheels rep told me they will not carry the Eskimo Pistol this year after getting horrible feedback from customers on it.....)

Is the 1000 too big for the ice? And is the only difference between the re/Fe the bearings and gear ratio?

Well, adds an extra $10 cost at retail....which is why it would have been a better deal if it included the RE versions.

Line capacity for the 1000 is 110 yards for 6 lb mono and 140 yards for 4 lb. While I do not have that reel, I have some Pfluegers that are comparable in size that I use a lot. I don't find them too big for the type of fishing I usually do.

FYI I picked up the new lite-flite (8") last weekend for $159 at a local sporting goods. So yeah 169-179 all day long
