Stud Mill Road
« on: Apr 04, 2018, 03:55 PM »
Anybody from the Orono/Grand Lake area know the condition of the Stud Mill Road? Lot of rain today and this time of year has me wondering what condition it is in. Was hoping to drive from campus to fish Grand Lake stream this weekend (if the flowage isn't bad) but was only planning on going if I can go the Stud Mill route. Not worth the two hour drive up to Lincoln and across.

There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process.

Thanks for the info, only taking the long drive on route 9 because I was able to convince a few friends to go. First time fishing Grand Lake Stream hope for some results

The little River Road that takes you from stud mill to Grand Lake stream has been Closed by Wagner Forest Management for mud season.  This is first for them but it will benefit us all in the long run.
