a different sort of ice fishing...
« on: Mar 16, 2010, 12:26 AM »
So I hopped the border this weekend to meet up with the family and we ended up "ice" fishing (with fly rods for 2 of us) the newly opened Bow River. We were very lucky in choice of day, as the ice really started to break two days later. I feel like we should be up for some "Stupid, but so lucky" award. We didn't catch anything, but it was a neat experience anyway.

the crack is a lot more ominous looking in this photo, than in actuality.
