first off, I don't think many are too worried about this flu now.  so yea people will probably act normal and come say hi. if your afraid of it put up a sign or stay home. I sure don't know how you can avoid it. if you currently wear a hazmat suit to the store then you probably better wear one out on the ice too.

second.  do people regularly set up shacks closer than 6ft?  I have guys move in but most stay a bit farther away than that.  shoot I have seen fights break out when people move in to close. lol rude in my opinion to move in on people.  I find my own areas unless its a local "gathering hole".  those are mostly first ice spots though.

wear what you think you need to be"safe", but live your dang life!  and nobody else's!

EXACTLY RIGHT! I’m sick, not with covid 1984, but of the nonsense response to it!
“You walk into this room at your own risk, because it leads to the future, not a future that will be but one that might be. This is not a new world, it is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances, and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super-states that preceded it, it has one iron rule: logic is an enemy and truth is a menace. This is Mr. Romney Wordsworth, in his last forty-eight hours on Earth. He's a citizen of the State but will soon have to be eliminated, because he's built out of flesh and because he has a mind. Mr. Romney Wordsworth, who will draw his last breaths in The Twilight Zone.”

Ah yes...."The obsolete man".......will that be us soon? Drawing our last breath, from an untraceable entity? Burgess did that so well. Even the other episode when he broke his glasses with all those libarary books, almost a parallel, don'tcha think?!  What is our destiny to be?

Been using this one in my truck.. ;D ;D

When this covid first got serious a gal here in Alaska was picked up by the State Troopers for an existing warrant.
Once she was in the patrol car on her way to jail she announced she had covid and started coughing.
Well guess who got an additional charge(s) on her record?
Yup it's actually a crime to threaten a police offer with giving them a disease even if you don't actually have it!

Yes they were.
But in the case I was referring to she didn't have Covid.
I'm assuming she thought they would want her out of the car and just let her go.
But nope, she just racked up additional charges.
Just a reminder to the person posting a picture of an officer approaching a car and the occupants hold up a sign that they have Covid.
While it sounds funny it could get you in more trouble if it isn't true.
I would assume a game warden might not be so happy either when he comes out to check your license and you have an "I have Covid" sign on your shanty?
I think we just need to do our part in social distancing and if it becomes an issue on the ice a kindly verbal reminder to stay farther away is probably the best bet.

I haven’t seen the other episode, but I think we are living through some of “obsolete man”, parts of Orwell’s “nineteen eighty four” AND mostly we are all but full on “Idiocracy” at this point. Our destiny as a country is likely to be the ash heap of history. I truly think we are through the looking glass as a republic. The chains are going on now, and slavery for decades is here. 500 years from now, historians will marvel, “why did the people who had the most to lose, do the least to combat the erosion of liberties?”
I have heard people before say about Nazi Germany “Why didn’t any of those Germans fight back against Hitler” , “They just allowed Nazi regime to overtake Germany, why were they all cowardly , surely someone could have stopped Hitler”
Well, now the shoe is on the other foot and it is us that are allowing these fascists dictator scum to run wild and overtake us. In 70 years there will be people asking “Why did the Americans allow crooked politicians to destroy their republic” “Why were they so cowardly and stood idly as their country was taken, the myth of Brave Americans who love Freedom was just that….a myth, they begged for socialism, they cowered to politicians”
ALL the Dictators had Lavish lifestyles while the people starved (ALL of them) Just like The politician scoundrels who make rules for you and I , but they do the opposite. They lock us down while they get to do what they want. (Hindsight is 20/20) But we act like we are running blind when we have seen this scenario before and we know damn well where it ends if not stopped (Look at concentration camps, starving millions, destruction of citizen’s lives) History ONLY repeats itself when the Mistakes that caused the events Repeat themselves.
The disease of socialism is terminal if allowed to set in. We see this play out over and over again, The ONLY way these dictators EVER stopped was NOT on their own, they were stopped by force. This is what history has taught us on how to properly deal with usurpers, traitor dictator scum who oppress the people. This is what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they wrote our Great Constitution. They knew these snakes were in the grass lurking waiting to strike the nation with poison venom. They gave us the remedy and authority to deliver the medicine in case this Great Nation ever became ill with the Dictator Virus.

Get you a Bluetooth speaker. Assess the new neighbors and select a Pandora channel they probably won't like and crank it up. You may not like it either but it sure is fun watching 'em whine and finally move. Tejano is often a good choice  ::)

Turn it UP!   >:D :roflmao: :-*

Here in Canada Nickelback would be a sure fire deterrent!!
