IceMedic,

Is that a child size body board you are using for the sled platform?

Hey Crappieattitude, a friend of mine has one of the same sheds you do.  I use my Chevy to get it where it needs to go all the time. :woot:
Fish may be stupid but I've never seen a perch sitting in a boat with a second degree sun burn trying to catch a man.

Icemedic...how did you make the supports?  Do they have any tendencies to lean/twist when the sled is loaded?

    Sir Landsalot,

Nice work! I like the utility, carry stuff then convert to shelter.

What are you using for the curved tarp supports? And where did you get them?

They're fiberglass driveway markers from the hardware store set in holes drilled into the sled.  The skiis are mounted to their own frame underneath and are strapped to the box with 2 winch straps.  This allows me to remove the box, set my old clam on the skiis, then set the box on top of the clam (a clam sandwich  ;D) for all the gear.  A bit heavy, but on good ice it's OK.  In slush I just use a jet sled.

I just finished my newest invention and took it out this morning for the first time.  The skin is made up of 1/8" Luan plywood, and it's very light for it's size (25lbs) and I can fit everything inside with room to spare.  Still need to make a few adjustments to the windbreak, but I'm very happy with it overall.

This is with it opened up to get a good look at the heater, I can sit on any of the three lids, and the heat coming up warms the seat up very well. (a little too well actually)

This it in the normal fishing configuration, I caught this 20" rainbow at 7:00 this AM, my first fish of the season!

Are you SURE it's safe to walk on? Looks questionable to me!

sweet sled, made the same design 2ft by 2ft by 4 ft  with 2 skis on each side.also had 4 poles in the four corners  with electrical conduit pipe an  a piece of rip stop nylon ,with sleeves sewn in the 4 corners to slid the poles into,,be carefull with the heater ..I used a 1 burner  coleman back pack stove an put it in a mail box on the front between  where two people sit  ,so both can warm there hands or sit above for a sec. anwarm the butt..nothing like being warm out there..
    How are the edges ?

I use it for short trips on nice days when I don't feel like dragging out the trap.

It's a H2O Sports utility Shed I found at Crappy Tire last winter. Works great. I like the two molded areas in the sled that holds a couple 5gal pails or propane tank in place from sliding around.
