Reminder: Picture taking requirements
« on: Jan 01, 2011, 05:06 PM »
Since it is early, and a lot of new members, we probably should remind folks on what is needed for the tourney pictures.

From the rules post:

4) Two color photos will be required per entry (of at least 450 pixels)
a.) Photo 1: The entry fish must be photographed with the entire rule (measuring device) clearly and readable in
the picture as well as the TI 2011 card while still out on the ice. No part of the fish should be on the rule.only yellow push/pull rules will be allowed
Only the entry fish - No multiple fish in the photo. No inside shanty pics.
b.) Photo 2: This photo must have the angler and fish together while still out on the ice with the lake (ice) in the background and the anglers face uncovered. If in a shanty step outside for the picture.
If the pic is taken at night kneel and take the pic at a downward angle so as to include the ice.

Already I've pics without TI 2011 card with the fish, and night pics not showing the ice.

Good luck to everyone, hate to see a nice entry get disqualified.

Saw the same, glad runswithdeer posted this. Everyone needs to re-read the rules. It's got to be a nightmare for Lonewolf

Can't be much of a nightmare, he just has to remove them from entry board with the click of the mouse. Already said he will not be sending PMs. Probably a nightmare getting PMs back asking why my fish was DQ'ed. He could just copy and paste "Read the rules". ;D

What exactly is a "yellow push/pull rule" ??? Can't we just use a wooden ruler/yardstick??? Please let me know. Thanks. Tight lines ans stay on top.

A yellow tape measure.

Here's an example picture of an entry and the tape measure :

A reminder that if I can't make out the numbers/digits on the rule I have to DQ.  :o

When you take the pic either bend down closer to the fish/rule or hit zoom.

This is especially important if you are using a low megapixel camera.

Try to take the picture straight down .. not at an angle.

That's correct, only need card in the photo with the fish and tape measure.

My 44 incher was DQ'd  because I didn't notice the tape flipped over.
No biggie, stuff happens.   ;D
