First trip of the season to Red. Ice in good shape not much snow. We went out of the east side out about 7 miles and fished 14 1/2 fow. Catching doubles that consist of walleye/crappie is just a gas. Cold front moved in in the afternoon and the bite got tough. My buddy and I managed 4 walleye and 7 of those beatiful 14-15 inch crappies 8) It's good to see that the perch are coming along... they are closing in on 10 inches. Down sized on the crappies until 2lb test tiny red hook and 1 1/2 minnow and tiny split shot..... (forgot the waxies..), had alot of sniffers and bumpers but just those takers. They got spookier as the day wore on.
Ear to ear grins all day long........ that is why I like to fish.

Ya, it was a great trip! It was much needed and we had alot of fun
Just learning on the digital, gotta wait for my Daughter for further instruction
It's a learning experience for the both of us. She gets to try to teach something to an old fart and I get to try to learn something
Going to shoot for another trip this week yet. Will post results and maybe pics by then.
