vexilar handheld sonar unit

anyone have any experiance with "vexilar lps-1 handheld sonar unit ?  how well / accurate are they for determining depth ?  :tipup:

as long as it has good contact with the ice(water or coffee) it should be accurate. i have the bllue one(not sure which brand offhand) & use it mainly for finding my spot when setting up the perm, or for exploring a new area at first ice.

anyone have a marcum Lps-i handheld sonar unit .. similar to vexilar.

Both units will shoot thought the water if theres no air bubbles in the ice then you will get a screwed up reading .
I'v used the strike master one a few years ago and liked it very well ..
